Karen Goodchild’s training is in 15th and 16th-century Italian art. Her current research intersects with, among other things, art theory, literature, gender and medical history. She has recently published articles on Giorgio Vasari and Agnolo Bronzino, and is writing a book reevaluating the Renaissance understanding of landscape painting.
