John received a Ph.D. in English, specializing in Restoration and eighteenth-century British literature, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2005. He joined the English department at Wofford College in August 2006 where he teaches courses in Restoration and eighteenth-century drama, the grammar and history of the English language, the picaresque novel, early English literature, literature and the environment, and introduction to fiction.
