COSC 101: Introduction to Computers
Summer 1: 2009

Projects

During the last week of classes, two extended student projects will be due.

PowerPoint Presentation

Each student will prepare and deliver a 5 to 10 minute PowerPoint presentation on a topic of their choice to the class. The presentation should include at least a dozen pages. Be sure to select an approprate style. You should aim to demonstate a basic knowledge of PowerPoint.

What to turn in: You will present the project to the class. You should also email me a copy of the presentation by the start of class.

This project will count as two routine assignments.

Due: Tuesday, June 30

Personal Web Page

Each student will prepare a personal web site about themselves. It should contain at least three separate pages. Each page should contain a link to all other pages. You should have a reasonable amount of content on each page. Use at least three images on your site. All pages should have a consistent and tasteful format. Your site will be graded on both content and appearance.

What to turn in: Your project should be accessible over the Internet as the default home page for your Wofford website. It should be available by the start of class on the due date. Otherwise, there is nothing to turn in.

This project will count as two routine assignments.
