The current work is the outgrowth and continuation of a project that was begun in the spring of 2000 when I was on the faculty of Lander University. That work was funded, in part, by the Division of Undergraduate Education of the National Science Foundation under Grant No. 9980366. (Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in this material are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation.) The original work was documented, in part, at the site http://www.netlab.lander.edu. Because the future of that site is uncertain, the material on that site has been mirrored here (with minor corrections, etc.). Essentially, these pages should be viewed as both deprecated and static pages.
A project like this, of course, is open-ended. Moreover, for a variety of reasons, the work at Lander was only partially completed. The work I am doing now expands and builds on the original work at Lander. All future work on this project will be described here.
