Description

Each member of the class will be responsible for creating a unique web site.  This page will outline the requirements for this project.

Your content must conform to the usual, commonsense, guidelines.  Nothing commercial (unless you have an external host), nothing pornographic, nothing libelous, nothing racist, nothing sexist, etc.  All content must be original.  Plagiarism will not be tolerated.

A web site will consist of six to twelve interlinked pages. You will need a consistent navigation scheme among these pages that allows you to move between any pair of pages at your site.

Your site should have substantive content. If you are only putting a few sentences on a page with a modicum of decorations, your grade will suffer. Content must be literate.  You will be penalized if there is an excessive number of grammatical or spelling errors on your site.

Your site should be attractively and consistently formatted.  You should make appropriate use of color, fonts, font sizes, and styles. Use the guidelines and checklists found in your text.

You must use cascading style sheets to provide a consistent look for your web site. You should have a single style sheet in a separate file that provides formatting for all of your displayed pages. You should have a second style sheet for printing that is also used throughout your site.

Your site will make use of appropriate images. You should have a average of one to two picture per page (excepting photo-ablum type pages). You must have appropriate digital rights to the images you use.

While, in general, you shouldn't force your page to fit arbitrary criterion, you should demonstrate the following additional features on at least one page in your site:

Each page at your site should validate without errors for correct XHTML, CSS, and accessibility.
