The
tragedy of war has inspired humanity to both great and terrible things,
and this holds true of medicine as much as any other endeavor. In this
two-week project, we will survey the great achievements in surgery and
healthcare that have been developed in wartime-- as well as some of the
more terrible abuses performed in the name of research or national
security.
